Debut Awal Tahun Ini, Geely EX5 Tembus Pemesanan 1.000 SPK
JAKARTA - China's automotive manufacturer Geely successfully returned to the country's market by introducing its first electric vehicle EX5 earlier this year.
Since launching the SUV in the country in January, Geely Auto Indonesia has recorded 1,000 Vehicle Ordering Letters (SPK) for EX5. This achievement includes the results obtained at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2025 some time ago.
CEO of Geely Auto Indonesia, Victor Gao revealed the results as evidence that the EX5 model is well received by the Indonesian market and will continue to be committed to presenting quality products in the future.
"This achievement is proof that electric vehicles are increasingly being accepted in the Indonesian market, and we are committed to continuing to present quality products that suit consumer needs," Gao said in a statement received on Monday, March 10.
In addition to presenting its first product, Geely also strengthens its commitment to increasing the ecosystem of electric vehicles in Indonesia and collaborating with various parties, including PLN in supporting national-scale EV infrastructure.

The manufacturer also plans to start local production of EX5 in the third quarter of this year which will take place in Purwakarta, West Java through the assembly line of Handal Indonesia Motor (HIM).
Geely EX5 is equipped with a front-wheeled electric motor that has a power of up to 160 kW and a torque of up to 320 Nm. With this force, this car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/hour within 6.9 seconds for the Pro variant and 7.1 seconds for Max type.
Meanwhile, EX5 has a 60.22 kWh capacity battery that can provide a distance of up to 495 km on Pro and 490 km for the Max variant.
Armed with the GAE Architecture platform developed by Geely, the car can charge from 30 to 80 percent in 20 minutes.
The brand sells this compact SUV at a price starting from IDR 475 million for Pro type and IDR 515 million for Max type for the Indonesian market.
