The Hope Of A Gen Z Musician At The Commemoration Of National Music Day
JAKARTA - Two musicians from Gen Z, Gusti Irwan Wibowo (Gustiwiw) and Ashira Zamita expressed their views on the commemoration of National Music Day which falls on Sunday, March 9.
Gusti called National Music Day a celebration, which should be a pride for all musicians in Indonesia.
I see National Music Day is supposed to be the most historic day for everyone who can play music. Because his predecessors always have their own struggles in the music field," said Gusti in a discussion in Cilandak, South Jakarta, Sunday night.
"And I interpret this more to pray, so that in the future the ecosystem is good, then people who work are also free," he continued.
For Gusti, a good ecosystem is needed for musicians. He mentioned that many people live and hope only for their work as music actors.
There are people who only live from music, which is just from songs. If I thank God I always look for music other than music, like ngehost, and so on. But if the system is good, maybe I also live from music," said Gusti.

"I also hope that each actor's music will get better and get better," he added.
Meanwhile, Ashira Zamita agreed with what Gusti said. He mentioned that many people dream of living as artists, especially music artists.
"I'm actually one of the people who only live from entertainment. In my 23rd Anniversary, I've never touched a job other than the entertainment industry at all. So, since I was little, I've been singing, playing commercials, playing movies," said Ashira.
So, finally there is a love for music too. In my opinion, in my current age, there are actually a lot of people who aspire to have a life from there," he concluded.
