Rehan/Gloria Have A Good Bekal For All England 2025
JAKARTA Two runner-up positions obtained in two consecutive weeks are provided by Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja to face All England 2025. The oldest tournament in the world will start from Tuesday, March 11, 2025, until Sunday, March 16, 2025, at Utilita Arena, Birmingham, England.
The latest runner-up position was adopted by Rehan/Gloria at the Super 300 BWF Orleans Master 2025 on Sunday, March 9, 2025. In the final at Palais des Sports against the fifth seeded pair from Denmark, Jesper Toft/Amalie Magelund, the Indonesian representative was forced to surrender in a two-game straight match with a final score of 17-21 and 13-21.
This result repeats their achievements last week at the German Open 2025, a tournament level with Orleans.
"With the results in the past two weeks, it will indeed be a good capital for the All England 2025 next week," said Rehan after the match as received in a statement from PBSI Public Relations.
Even though they lost in two consecutive finals, the results obtained by Rehan/Gloria in two consecutive weeks should be appreciated. You see, they are a couple who have only been duet since the beginning of this year.
Orleans Masters 2025 is their third tournament in composition now. The pair played their debut match at Thailand Masters 2025 in the final week of January 2025.

After returning home early in the second half of Thailand's 2025 masters, Rehan/Gloria's appearance increased sharply in Germany.
On the way to the final, the PB Djarum fostered athlete was recorded to have repatriated three seeded. Starting from fourth seed Mads Vestergaard/Christine Busch (Denmark) in the second round, sixth seed Zhu Yi Jun/Zhang Chi (China) in the quarter-finals, and eighth seed Dhruv Kapila/Tanisha Crasto (India) in the semifinals.
The journey to the Orleans final was also well-passed by defeating two seeded. One of them is Malaysia's first seed, Chen Tang Jie/Toh Ee Wei, in the second half.
The fight was easily passed by two games after Rehan/Gloria almost returned home early in the first half against Ki Dong-ju/Jeong Na-eun from South Korea who were tense three games.
Although it could be capital for All England 2025, stepping on two finals in the previous tournament, it turned out that it drained a lot of Rehan/Gloria power.
The reason is, they have recorded four duels that have taken place in rubber games out of a total of nine matches in the last two weeks.
They should have played 10 matches if the quarter-finals of the Orleans Masters 2025 against Hoo Pang Ron/Cheng Su Yin from Malaysia joined them in playing.
Rehan/Gloria won a walkout (WO) in that game after Cheng got an ankle problem due to a sprain.
"It is undeniable that conditions must be tired. So, now we want to focus on recovery. Hopefully in All England we can return to fitness and play optimally," said Rehan.
At All England 2025, Rehan/Gloria will start their journey in the first half against Chen Tang Jie/Toh Ee Wei, the second seeded pair from Malaysia they managed to get rid of in the last 16 of the Orleans Masters 2025.
If they win, Rehan/Gloria will most likely meet Jesper Toft/Amalie Magelund in the second half, the pair who beat them in the Orleans Masters 2025 final.
10 Indonesian Representatives
Indonesia has sent a total of 11 representatives to All England in 2025. Rehan/Gloria is the only one representing mixed doubles.
Two defending champions, Jonatan Christie and Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto, also took part in the Super 1000 event which provided a total prize of IDR 1.3 million US Dollars.
In the women's singles number, Indonesia sent Gregoria Mariska Tunjung and Putri Kusuma Wardani. For Putri, this is her first experience playing in All England.
"Quite excited to be able to play for the first time in All England. In preparation, I prefer to set a mindset to be more relaxed," said the badminton player who was born in Tangerang.
Men's doubles is the sector with the most representatives playing in All England 2025. Apart from Fajar/Rian, this number also sent Leo Rolly Carnando/Bagas Maulana, Muhammad Shohibul Fikri/Daniel Marthin, and Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Mohamad Reza Pahlevi Isfahani.
Then in the women's doubles, the two pairs that will come down are Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti and Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi.
Apri/Fadia, who have not played together since the 2024 Paris Olympics, have just undergone preparations for this event by appearing at the Orleans Masters. Their journey there stopped in the quarter-finals.
In the men's singles sector, it is certain that Anthony Sinisuka Ginting cannot strengthen Indonesia. The All England 2024 runner-up has recovered from arm problems, but is still not 100 percent ready to return to the field.
Ginting in the tour calendar earlier this year was recorded to have only undergone one tournament, namely at the Malaysia Open 2025.
