East Bali Tourism Development Balances Tourism Growth On The Island Of The Gods

JAKARTA - East Bali has rich and diverse tourism potentials, ranging from natural beauty to unique cultural heritage. This region offers various destinations that have not been fully developed, but have high attractiveness for domestic and foreign tourists.

With proper management, tourism in East Bali can support economic growth and help equalize development throughout Bali.

As part of efforts to equalize the growth of the tourism sector in Bali, the Ministry of Tourism has mapped the potential in East Bali. Deputy Minister of Tourism, Ni Luh Puspa, emphasized the importance of tourism development not only focused in South Bali, but also in eastern and northern Bali which has extraordinary cultural and natural wealth.

During his visit to Karangasem on Saturday, March 8, the Deputy Minister of Tourism visited several leading destinations such as the Samsara Living Museum, Tirta Gangga, Puri Agung Karangasem, and Tenganan Pegringsingan Tourism Village. According to him, Karangasem has great potential in developing nature and culture-based tourism that can attract more tourists.

The Samsara Living Museum, for example, presents a variety of unique activities such as reading pratities, making traditional lak-lak and herbal cakes, as well as writing literary works on Lontar leaves.

Meanwhile, Tenganan Pegringsingan Tourism Village is a real example of how tourism businesses can run in line with environmental, traditional and local culture conservation.

Ni Luh Puspa emphasized that cooperation with local governments is needed to support the development of the tourism sector in Karangasem.

He also emphasized that this effort is in line with the President's vision to build an economy from the village, so that the benefits of the tourism sector can be felt directly by the local community.

The Regent of Karangasem, I Gusti Putu Parwata, also welcomed this development plan. He is committed to improving the tourism sector in his area so that it is more attractive to tourists. "The potential for Karangasem tourism is very large and has a great opportunity to develop. We will also immediately coordinate with the central government regarding the tourism development plan in Karangasem," he said.
