Siri Sophisticated Canceled Release This Year, Feature Development Is The Main Problem
JAKARTA On March 7, 2025, Apple officially confirmed that Siri with the advanced features promised to be postponed until next year. This news raises questions for many parties.
When this delay was delivered, Apple only said that it took longer than expected, but did not explain the more detailed reasons. Now, it seems we know the reason behind the delay.
Bloomberg explained several things that might underlie the Apple Intelligence-based Siri delay. The first was a development error from the start. Siri is known to have 'two brains' in the iOS 18 version to handle two types of commands.
One is an old version of Siri to arrange simple things like making quick calls and more sophisticated versions of Siri that are integrated with ChatGPT. To release a more sophisticated Siri, Apple must combine the two brains on iOS 18.

Unfortunately, Apple doesn't have enough time to combine the two. In other words, the merger didn't go the way the company imagined. This may underlie why Apple decided to postpone its launch.
In addition, there are many issues that Apple does not disclose. Apple's Head of Software, Craig Federighi, and a number of executives said they were worried about the Apple Intelligence feature, including Siri, developed by workers.
The reason is, the feature doesn't work as well as the company advertises. Fortunately, the ad has been withdrawn. An unnamed Bloomberg source also explained that technicians are currently 'racing to fix bugs' in it.
