JAKARTA - In the period from October 20, 2024 to March 8, 2025, the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs managed to handle 1,352,401 negative content, through the complaint.id site.
Of the total content handled, 233,552 content related to pornography came from the website (219,578 cases) and platform X (Twitter) ranks second with 10,173 cases.
Meanwhile, from 1,118,849 content related to online gambling, websites and IP addresses became the main source with 1,017,274 cases, followed by Meta (Facebook / Instagram) with 46,207 cases.
Director General of Digital Space Supervision, Alexander Sabar, stated that community participation is an important element in accelerating the handling of content that violates regulations.
"Every report that comes in helps us to act faster and more effectively in dealing with negative content," Alex said on Monday, March 10.
Although the amount of content handled is quite large, the trend of spreading negative content is still ongoing. According to Alex, in early March 2025 alone (first day), more than 58,000 negative content has been dealt with.
For this reason, Komdigi will strengthen the artificial intelligence (AI)-based monitoring system to accelerate the detection of negative content and increase coordination with global digital platforms so that the enforcement process can be carried out more efficiently.
