Chery Tiggo 4 Pro Gets Five Stars In ANCAP Collision Test, The Result Identical With Tiggo 7 Pro
JAKARTA - Impressive achievements were obtained from Chery through the Tiggo 4 Pro model in the Australian market. The tiny SUV was awarded five stars in a hit test conducted by the Australation New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP).
Despite gaining the highest title in the test, the assessment obtained by Tiggo 4 Pro has similarities to its larger brother, the Tiggo 7 Pro.
Launching from Drive, Monday, March 10, Tiggo 4 Pro received a score of 88 in testing the protection of adult and child passengers or almost identical to the Tiggo 7 Pro with an 87 percent assessment.
In other tests such as protection tests on pedestrians, this small SUV obtained an assessment of 79 percent or nearly the same as the Tiggo 7 Pro which reached 80 percent. According to ANCAP, this is due to poor pedestrian detection in the scenario when a blocked child runs onto the highway.

Furthermore, ANCAP noted that in the Safety System Tiggo 4 Pro test it won a score of 85 percent or almost the same as the Tiggo 7 Pro which got 86 percent.
Although both share the same platform, namely T1X, the Tiggo 4 Pro has a smaller size and class compared to the Tiggo 7 Pro which has different fronts, as well as higher, wider, and heavier.
The Tiggo 4 Pro also meets other criteria such as the same seat seat seat seat holding point, the same number of side doors, and the size of the machine blocks.
The results from the ANCAP follow the notification that the Chery Tiggo 4 Pro was affected by the recall after finding an error in the Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) system, thus not complying with regulations in Australia.
The manufacturer said this was caused by a software problem so that the alarm on the AEB system could not be activated when the car was driven.
Without an alarm or notification on the AEB system, this increases the risk of accidents that could cause injury or death to drivers, passengers, and other road users.
