In Two Months, BRI Distributes KUR Of Up To IDR 27.72 Trillion

JAKARTA - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BRI distributed People's Business Credit (KUR) of IDR 27.72 trillion for two months in early 2025, namely the period from January to February.

This amount is equivalent to 15.84 percent of the total annual allocation set by the government of IDR 175 trillion. In this period, as many as 649.6 thousand MSME entrepreneurs have received benefits from the distribution of KUR.

BRI Micro Business Director Supari emphasized BRI's commitment to strengthening the MSME financing ecosystem to be more competitive and able to develop sustainably.

"We believe that with the wider access to financing through KUR, more and more business actors can grow, develop, and contribute more in supporting national economic resilience," Supari said quoting Antara.

BRI also ensures that KUR is channeled to strategic sectors that play a role in encouraging economic growth. This, the company noted, is reflected in the distribution of KUR distribution where more than half or about 55.88 percent is allocated to the production sector.

The economic sector with the largest distribution, namely the agricultural sector, with the total distribution of KUR reaching Rp11.57 trillion. According to the company, the amount of distribution is in line with the government's efforts to support Indonesia's food security program.

Meanwhile, the accumulated distribution of BRI KUR from 2015 to February 2025 has reached Rp1,285 trillion with a total recipient of more than 43.33 million debtors.

This achievement, according to the company, shows BRI's commitment to empowering MSMEs to further develop and contribute to Indonesia's economic development.

Supari also said that BRI will continue to implement the strategy that has been implemented to encourage the distribution of KUR, one of which is the revitalization of micro marketers as financial advisors who control the ecosystem in an area.

This strategy is the backbone in the implementation of various BRI empowerment programs such as BRILiaN Village, My Cluster of Life, Local Inspirational Figures (FIL), and LinkUMKM, a digital-based empowerment platform.

"Through these various empowerment programs, BRI seeks to present one-stop solutions for micro business actors, not only in the financial aspect, but also non-financially, according to their needs," said Supari.
