Seeing The Existence Of AI In Reflecting On The Celebration Of National Music Day 2025
JAKARTA - In celebrating the 12th National Music Day which is commemorated today, Sunday, March 9, a discussion was held at BRO's Studio located in Cilandak, South Jakarta.
Guided by Aldo Sianturi, Toto Widjojo and Chandra "Konde" Christianto became the initial panelists to discuss the current dynamics of music.
Toto Widjojo as a professional who has been in the national music industry for a long time said that the dynamics in the music world are unavoidable. He sees that changes always accompany the journey of music history, not only in Indonesia, but also in the world.
"Currently the changes are getting tighter, because we see very basic changes, not only in Indonesia, but in the world. But after all we have to be ready," said Toto.
For example, Toto raised the issue of the emergence of artificial intelligence (AI) or artificial intelligence in the music world. According to him, it would be better to be able to embrace renewable technology, rather than rejecting it rawly.
"With the current AI, the music world will be disturbed again. We as musicians must be ready to embrace the AI, because otherwise we will be left behind," he said.

"We cannot stem the change itself, so we must learn, adapt and adopt the AI," he added.
In addition, Chandra Konde Christianto talked about how the national music infrastructure is. The former Samsons drummer saw improvements, but the country's active role was still needed.
In my opinion, so far our music industry already has good infrastructure. In my new era as a musician, I didn't know there was an LMK, I don't know the performance rights, and so on. But now all the information is open," said Konde.
"Is it still lacking? Yes, there is still a lack. We still lack socialization maybe. If I chat with fellow musicians, the information obtained is only in big cities. And it takes the role of the state, for socialization, to be more evenly distributed," he concluded.
