Floods In Grobogan Disrupt Semarang-Surabaya Train Trips
JAKARTA - The railway line in the Daop 4 Semarang area was disrupted due to flooding that submerged the rail on the route between Gubug Station and Karangjati Station, Grobogan Regency, Sunday, March 9.
Public Relations Manager of PT KAI Daop 4 Semarang Franoto Wibowo said the rain that had been pouring since Saturday, March 8 had resulted in railroads in plots connecting the route between Semarang-Surabaya being flooded.
"Two lanes at KM 32 were submerged by a fairly heavy overflow of water," said ANTARA, Sunday.
According to him, as a result of this incident, the Semarang-Surabaya train line was temporarily closed.
As a result of the incident, he continued, two train trips were canceled, namely the Kedung Sempur train.
Meanwhile, three train trips, he said, were diverted via the Gambiringan-Gandiah route.
