Prabowo 'Sat Set' Immediately Called The Head Of BGN When He Knows Free Food Hasn't Reached Babelan

BEKASI President Prabowo Subianto immediately intervened when he found out that the Free Nutrition Eating Program (MBG) had not been received by children in Babelan District, Bekasi Regency, especially at SDN 04 Babelan which was affected by the flood.

While visiting Tambun Inpres Village, Babelan, Bekasi, on Saturday, March 8, the President found that food aid had not yet reached the affected residents. Without delaying time, Prabowo immediately called the Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Dadan Hindayana, to ensure the solution was immediately taken.

"Mr. Dadan, I am now in Babelan District, Bekasi Regency. But they have not received food. The food has not yet arrived here," Prabowo said by telephone, from the terrace of a resident's house which was still flooded.

Responding to this, Dadan Hindayana explained that the MBG kitchen in Bekasi had stopped operating due to flooding. However, he ensured that additional MBG kitchens would be built in higher areas so that they could still send food to affected schools.

"We will build a kitchen in a higher place so that food can be sent to schools," said Dadan.

Prabowo immediately gave instructions,

"Yes, make sure the kitchen is in a place that is not affected by flooding."

As a strategic step, BGN is also preparing a large capacity kitchen in Jakarta which will become a distribution center if the kitchen in the area experiences problems such as flooding.

During his visit, Prabowo not only reviewed the flood, but also went directly to residents' homes, listened to their complaints, and noted them in the small book he always brought.

Wearing rubber boots, he walked along roads that were still submerged, checked the condition of flood victims, and distributed direct assistance to them.

Not only that, in moments of emotion, the President breaks the fast with residents on the terrace of their homes, while discussing various problems faced by the community.

On the sidelines of his visit, Prabowo also contacted several relevant officials, ensuring quick steps were taken to overcome the impact of flooding in Babelan.

Floods that have hit Jakarta, Bekasi, Tangerang, and Depok since the beginning of the week have still caused inundation in several areas. The government continues to strive to overcome the impact of this disaster so that aid can be distributed more effectively.
