JAKARTA - Tesla has launched a refresher version of the Model Y or referred to as the 'Juniper' for the Chinese market earlier this year. Two months since its debut, this crossover has received good acceptance in the country.
Launching from CarNewsChina, Saturday, March 8, manufacturers from the United States (US) have pocketed 200,000 pre-orders, following previous achievements of up to 50,000 orders on launch day.
According to the company, they indicated that a number of stores in Beijing consistently received orders of around 100 units per day. However, the report also noted that many of these orders were initial orders that could be returned.
Deliveries themselves began on February 26 with the initial phase delivering more than 6,000 units handed over to buyers in China.
In design, the most prominent change to Facelift's Model Y is its exterior design, which takes inspiration from robotaxi Cybertruck and Cybercab using a new forward light design.

The variant is powered by a rear electric motor with a peak power of 220 kW and is capable of running 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 5.3 seconds, better than its predecessor of 5.9 seconds.
