KSAU Asks Its Staff To Strengthen Air Defense Alutsista
JAKARTA - Air Force Chief of Staff (KSAU) Marshal TNI Mohamad Tonny Harjono emphasized the importance of strengthening the main weapon system (defense equipment) to improve Indonesia's air defense.
This was said by Tonny when holding a leadership meeting held at the Air Force Headquarters, Cilangkap, East Jakarta, as quoted in the official TNI AU press release, Saturday.
During the meeting, Tonny asked all his staff to prepare themselves for the arrival of a new defense equipment in the near future.
One of the defense equipment in question is the latest generation fighter aircraft along with other supporting equipment that are currently in the final procurement stage.

Tonny at the meeting explained that the first few units were scheduled to arrive in the near future and the next shipments were carried out in stages.
"This modernization is part of the determination of the Modern AMPUH Air Force, in order to ensure superior operational readiness and strengthen the silting force against various strategic threats," said Tonny.
In addition, Tonny also asked all his staff to improve the quality of soldiers' human resources (HR) in order to adapt to the advancement of defense technology.
One of the efforts made by his party is to design a plan to increase the number of students to meet the needs of personnel in various operational units.
Tonny hopes that with these efforts, the Indonesian Air Force can continue to increase its defense strength in the midst of the development of world defense technology.
Previously, KSAU Marshal TNI Mohamad Tonny Harjono revealed that the Indonesian Air Force in 2026 will have six Rafale fighter aircraft from France.
"Next year, around February or March, we have started arriving on Rafale planes, three planes, and three months later three more planes. So, in the middle of next year we will already have six Rafale planes," said Tonny after attending the Indonesian Air Force Leadership Meeting at the Indonesian Air Force Headquarters, Cilangkap, East Jakarta, Monday (3/2)
