East Java Provincial Government Launches 55 THR Complaint Posts
SURABAYA - The East Java Provincial Government has launched 55 posts for complaints about holiday allowances (THR) spread across 38 regencies and cities. THR posts are also deployed in 16 vocational training centers (BLK) and the East Java Manpower Office.
East Java Governor Khofifah Parawansa said the post was an answer and response to workers, workers or employees who had difficulties related to the THR disbursement.
"The launch will be on Monday next week," he said during a gathering with the East Java trade union in Sidoarjo as quoted by Antara, Friday, April 23.
The East Java Provincial Government also requested that the employer give THR on D minus 10 or a maximum on H minus 7 Lebaran.
"This is done so that the industry runs well and the welfare of the workers is also good," said Khofifah.
His party has conducted intensive communication with Fauzi as Chairman of the East Java SPSI ahead of the implementation of Labor Day or what is known as May Day.
"This is a form of friendship and mutual understanding about the current atmosphere and conditions," he said.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the East Java SPSI, Ahmad Fauzi, said that one of the demands of workers was to reject the work copyright law and its derivatives.
"Currently our colleagues in the DPP are in session at the Constitutional Court. Ideally, we have to wait for the decision from the Constitutional Court regarding the law," he said.
Asked about the action to take to the streets, Ahmad Fauzi said that he would discuss it further, considering that currently there are several inputs such as school readiness, and also the COVID-19 pandemic.
"Do not let our action be detrimental to various parties. Whether later we will take to the streets, we will decide in the last days leading up to the implementation of Labor Day," he said.
