Police In Cianjur Patrol To Remote Areas In Anticipation Of The Sarong War
CIANJUR - Cianjur Police, West Java, has increased patrols to remote areas by involving police officers in anticipation of a sarong war.
The Head of Cianjur Police, AKBP Mochamad Rifai said that the sarong war that is often carried out by teenagers between villages in Cianjur, has begun to spread between districts, so that it is unsettling for residents, especially passing road users, because they are holding a sarong war in the middle of a national road.
"We received reports that teenagers from Cianjur were involved in a sarong war with teenagers from West Bandung. So, we anticipate efforts to involve the police and patrol members to increase patrols from night to early morning," he said as quoted by Antara, Friday, April 23.
For teenagers who are caught in the hands of a patrol officer, they will be given guidance and will only be sent home after being picked up by their parents. Those who were caught huddled by the side of the road would immediately be disbanded so that there would be no sarong war.
Previously, dozens of teenagers from Cianjur were involved in a sarong war with a teenager from West Bandung, precisely at the border of Citarum Bridge, Haurwangi District. The action of dozens of teenagers, had made long queues of vehicles from both directions because the driver chose to stop.
"The youth group with a sarong that has been tied at the end, has been seen from 01.00 WIB. Approaching the dawn of the two groups carried out a sarong war action in the middle of the bridge connecting Cianjur-Bandung, causing traffic jams," said Hendi Boncel, a figurehead. the Haurwangi community.
Dozens of teenagers who were involved in the sarong war only disbanded after two patrol cars from Cianjur and West Bandung arrived at the location. Residents hope that officers will increase patrols at the border as the sarong war continues to spread during the fasting month.
"Before fasting, there was no action like this, but entering the second week of fasting, the action of the sarong war became more widespread, which is usually between villages now between districts. We also hope that there will be firm action so that there will be a deterrent effect for adolescents who take this disturbing action," he said. .
