Autopsy Results, Gene Hackman Revealed Died Of Alzheimer's

JAKARTA - The autopsy process for Gene Hackman and his wife, Total Arakawa, has been completed. From the autopsy results, it was revealed that the 95-year-old actor died of heart disease and Alzheimer's disease.

The medical examiner from New Mexico announced the results of the autopsy to the public on Friday, March 7 local time.

"It can be concluded that Mr. Hackman died on February 18. He (died) in poor health," said Dr. Heather Jarrell as the autopsy team launched Deadline.

The doctor also revealed that there was evidence that revealed that Gene Hackman had not eaten for several days. His wife, Arakawa, died on February 11.

"The cause of death of Gene Hackman, 95 years old, is hypertension and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, with Alzheimer's disease as a significant cause factor," explains Dr. Jarrell.

"The examination of the autopsy and examination of the entire postmortem CT did not show any internal or external trauma acute findings, and showed severe heart disease, including several surgical procedures involving the heart, evidence of previous heart attacks, and severe changes in the kidneys due to chronic high blood pressure," he said.

Previously, Gene Hackman revealed his health condition before retiring from the public world in the early 2000s.

"I want to ask the public to respect the privacy of Gene Hackman, Total Hackman, and his family and friends," said Dr. Jarrell.

From the CCTV footage owned by the security forces, Arakawa had shopped at the supermarket and entered the house at around 17.30 local time. They also said several emails on the computer were opened on February 11 but there was no communication interaction after February 11.

One of their pet dogs was also found dead at their residence on February 26 in accordance with the police statement. Likewise with Hackman and Arakawa who were found dead separately.
