Littel Fingers' Interpretation Of Life Stability In Single Titled Square

JAKARTA - The electronic jazz trio from Jakarta, Littlefingers again greeted Indonesian music lovers through the latest single entitled 'Squares'.

Like the trio consisting of Chika Olivia (keyboards), Tjdika (bass), and David Halim (drums) has leaked plans for the release of the second album at the end of last year, "Squares" was lined up as the last single towards the second album to be introduced in the middle of this year.

Meanwhile, the 'Squares' featured the Littlefingers personnel's interpretation of topics discussing the stability of life.

They feel that various sayings and conversations often discuss the ups and downs of human life, but the human need for stability or a peaceful condition in living life is rarely discussed.

This topic is a representation of the plaid motifs that exist in childhood games, ladder snakes, which are the big themes of Littlefingers' upcoming second album.

The song 'Squares' in the process wants to describe a sense of life. Like a ladder snake game when you're not trying to climb stairs or down the snake, the 'Squares' is there," Chika said in his statement, Friday, March 7.

This single can be said to be slightly different from previous releases. If Littlefingers presents a lot of complex rhythms in the songs, this time the personnel play more constant, petitive, and stable rhythms.

Still being produced and produced independently, Littlefingers offers a quiet and dynamic presentation of songs, but still with their distinctive electronic sounds.

"Sometimes we as human beings are too focused on the euphoria of life, until we forget what we really miss, stability and calm. This song, even though it is short, carries the message that sometimes we just have to walk around to be able to face the roller taming of life again," concluded David.
