Jose Mourinho Pretending To Sleep In A Press Conference In The Europa League
JAKARTA - Fenerbahce's manager, Jose Mourinho, pretended to fall asleep and even voiced snoring during a long question raised by a Turkish journalist in a press conference after the Europa League match on Friday, March 7, 2025, early morning WIB.
Mourinho attended the media after his team lost 1-3 at home to Rangers in the first leg of the Europa League last 16.
The question lasted for 50 seconds and discussed the changes made by the Portuguese manager during the match in Istanbul.
When the Fenerbahce press officer began translating the question, Mourinho interrupted and said: "Oh, it's too heavy for my head. I'm so tired."
"Nine minutes, not listening to all this, I'm too tired for that. Yes, we replace players in every game," he said.

Mourinho, who has just returned from a two-match ban for his comments about the Turkish referee after a goalless draw at Galatasaray on February 24, 2025, then continued a press conference.
The former Chelsea and Manchester United coach admitted his team were bad everywhere against Rangers. However, there is a positive side to the defeat because the defeat was not bigger than the score 1-3.
"The only thing I tell them (Rangers) is not to celebrate too much because there are still two games to play."
"That's my only suggestion. If in the second game they celebrate, I will congratulate them. For now, watch it because it's not over yet."
"The only positive thing for me is that there are still 90 minutes left to play," said Mourinho.
Fenerbahce will travel to Rangers on March 13, 2025 for the second leg of the Europa League last 16.
