The Chancellor Of UKI Has Spoken Out About Fisipol Students Died In Campus Areas

JAKARTA - The Chancellor of the Indonesian Christian University (UKI), Dhaniswara K. Harjono finally opened his voice regarding the death of a student at the Faculty of Fisipol named Kenzaha Walewangko (22) on Friday, March 7.

"We all know that just three days ago, UKI mourned that one of its students from the political science study program, died. And at that time I was already at home. I still remember at 20.58 WIB, I was called by the head of the campus authority and it was said that a student had died," Dhaniswara told reporters.

Then the rector ordered to report to the East Jakarta Metro Police.

"So we don't delay it anymore because there is indeed one incident that resulted in the loss of the lives of others. In this case, our own students. And of course as good citizens, we all respect the applicable legal process," he said.

Furthermore, the East Jakarta Metro Police immediately responded that night to the location and conducted an investigation.

"As far as I know, I also carried out a post-mortem process and an autopsy. And we are waiting for the results. Regardless of all that, of course we from the Indonesian Christian University express our condolences to the family and we are waiting for the results, of course, this process is from the police," he said.

The campus will also conduct an evaluation regarding the incident.

"We are waiting for the results of the police investigation. That is the most important thing. And of course, thank you to the East Jakarta Metro Police who are very professional, responsive and responsive. And carry out good coordination with us leaders from the University of Kristian Indonesia," he said.

Previously, it was reported that the East Jakarta Metro Police conducted an examination of 18 witnesses regarding the death of a student at the Indonesian Christian University (UKI) Faculty of Fisipol with the initials KW (22) in the UKI Cawang Campus area, East Jakarta.

"Currently, the Police have examined 18 witnesses," said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly to reporters, Friday, March 7.
