2031 Women's World Cup: Open Road For Candidates For US-Mexico Hosts
JAKARTA - The nomination of the United States and Mexico to host the 2031 Women's World Cup will only face a nomination from Africa. FIFA on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, in Zurich removed Europe from the contest.
FIFA also invited nominations for the 2035 tournament only from Europe or Africa. The four British federations - England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales - said they would take part in the contest.
British Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, even supported Britain's candidacy for the 2035 event.
"Football will always be the core of our country's identity. The 2035 Women's World Cup at home itself will be another monumental moment in the history of our sport, pushing for growth and leaving a lasting legacy," he said.
