UI Gives It To The Study Program On The Re Session Of The Bahlil Lahadalia Doctoral Degree
JAKARTA - The University of Indonesia (UI) said that the decision to re-trial undergraduate students for the Strategic and Global Study School Doctoral Program (SKSG) Bahlil Lahadalia depends on the policy of the related study program.
"Will the trial again later depend on the study program's decision, yes, because it has been regulated in the discussion," said UI Public Relations, Media, Government and International Director Arie Afriansyah at a press conference in Jakarta, Friday, March 7, as reported by Antara.
Arie emphasized that on March 4, 2025, UI had sat down together considering reports from four organs, namely the University Academic Senate, UI Professor Council, UI Academic Quality Assurance Agency, and formed the SKSG UI Academic Quality Assurance Improvement Team to handle the Bahlil Lahadalia dissertation case.
After going through discussions with the four organs, UI has also decided that Bahlil Lahadalia's dissertation needs improvement.
"Regarding the students concerned, as conveyed by the Chancellor of UI Heri Hermansyah, it is requested to improve the dissertation in accordance with the provisions and substance side that will be determined by the Chancellor and Pak Bahlil," said Arie.
He emphasized that the current UI has not yet decided whether improvements to the dissertation need to be made in whole or in part.
"If the improvement is later, as is the scientific work in general, it will be determined by the promoters (leading supervisors' lecturers) and co-promotors (companion supervisors' lecturers), and it will depend on the substance, because scientific works cannot become public consumption, and how the size and substance of the quality will be determined in accordance with discussions with the leaders," he said.
