PAUD Teacher Complains To DKI DPRD, Complains About Reduction Of The Number Of Incentive Recipients Due To Budget Efficiency
JAKARTA - The Association of Educators and Education Personnel for Indonesian Early Childhoods (Himpaudi) DKI Jakarta visited the DKI Jakarta DPRD to complain about reducing the number of non-formal PAUD teachers who received incentives from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.
"7,100 Himpaudi teachers who have received a grant have been reduced to 6,800. This is sad," said the chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD after receiving an audience with Himpau in DKI at the DKI Jakarta DPRD building, Friday, March 7.
Based on Himpau's complaint in DKI Jakarta, the reduction in the number of PAUD teachers receiving incentives from the DKI Provincial Government grant occurred due to following up on budget efficiency, referring to Presidential Instruction Number 1 of 2025.
According to Khoirudin, the DKI Jakarta Education Office should not have sacrificed grants for the honorarium of non-formal PAUD teachers for reasons of budget efficiency.
"Right, the Presidential Instruction is not for reduced honorariums. Earlier they said that," said Khoirudin.
"So I will convey to the PTK (Educational and Educational Personnel Division) of the DKI Jakarta Education Office so that the 2025 presidential institution is the benchmark for efficiency, do not reduce honorarium," he continued.
In addition, Himpaudi also requested an increase in the nominal incentives of PAUD teachers from the previous Rp550,000 to Rp1,500,000.
The chairman of the DKI Jakarta PKS DPW assessed that the DKI Provincial Government should have granted the demand for an increase in incentives. Considering that the nominal salaries of non-formal PAUD teachers in DKI Jakarta are not equivalent to the DKI Jakarta provincial minimum wage (UMP).
"The government should put educators above all else, if this country wants to progress. Right, the progress of a country depends on education. For example, today the DKI Jakarta PJLP (the salary) is more than Rp. 5 million. Which teachers are there Rp. 5 million? This is sad," said Khoirudin.
