Become A Horror Comic, Imelda Therine Calls Samar Film A Reflection On Life

JAKARTA - Imelda Therine became the main character in his latest film, Samar: Ilmira Nirmala. The film, directed by Renaldo Samsara, highlights the story of the difficulty of a comedian.

In this film, Imelda plays Ilmira, a horror comic who has difficulty completing his latest comic but has to finish it to support his family. One day he moves to a house that makes it even more difficult for his struggle.

"I play Ilmira Nilrmala, a horror comic who is very popular with readers but she has difficulty completing her comics. She faced anxiety and trauma in the past of various things that were quite horror," Imelda Therine told VOI on Friday, March 7.

It took four years to wait for this film to finally hit theaters. As one of the producers, Imelda admitted that he was happy that their struggle could be displayed.

"The writer built the story of a drama, it's just that the ambience is horror because it raises the figure of a comedian who creates a nightmare story to his readers, but the nightmare is in his life," said Imel.

The 42-year-old actress explained that Samar film does not only bring horror stories but there is a life story that can be a reflection of the audience. She considers it much more horror than her own horror story.

Horror is synonymous with ghosts, but with that daily routine, especially since Ilmira has a small trauma, it can be horror, healing from someone, wounds, doing something without desire is also something horror. We are trying to solve the meaning of horror and it doesn't have to be from the devil either," he said again.

Ilmira's character raises the figure of a woman who can make scary pictures and that's cool. He created that character but behind it he's an illustrate those Sketch, "Imel's story.

"This film talks about loneliness, unrest, trying as an actor to connect it all because this film also talks about life," he said.

Apart from Imelda Therinne, this film also stars Aurora Ribero, Revaldo, and Kevin Julio. Samar: Ilmira Nirmala will hit theaters from March 13.
