Polda Metro Jaya Bongkar Home Tobacco Industry Synthetics In Depok

JAKARTA - The Directorate of Drug Investigation of the Metro Jaya Police uncovered a syndicate of cyclists and narcotics trafficking of synthetic tobacco in the Depok area, West Java (West Java). From the disclosure, 722.52 grams of synthetic tobacco were confiscated.

"We confiscated evidence in the form of 722.52 grams of synthetic tobacco and seeds suspected of synthetic tobacco weighing 99.87 grams," said Head of Sub-Directorate 5 of the Narcotics Directorate of the Metro Jaya Police AKP Rian Fauzi to reporters, Friday, March 7.

The disclosure of the syndicate began when investigators received information about a house that was used as a synthesis tobacco scene at Sukatani Permai Housing, Sukatani Village, Tapos District, Depok City.

The information was followed up. After believing that it was true, the police immediately raided the house. There were two people who were arrested there.

"The two suspects who were arrested had the initials MR and EI," he said.

From the results of the examination, the suspect MR acted as a synthetic tobacco maker. Meanwhile, EI served as a seller.

In addition, from their information, it is known that the seeds suspected of being narcotics were obtained from a fugitive with the initials Mr X through a patch system in the Pancoran Mas area. The sale process is carried out according to Mr X's direction via communication via WhatsApp.

"Currently, we are still developing to arrest DPO Mr X and uncover a wider network," said Rian.
