Angkasa Pura II Tightens Supervision Of Aircraft From India Landing At Soekarno Hatta Airport
JAKARTA - PT Angkasa Pura II supervises passengers on international routes that land at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, including those arriving from India. This followed news that India was facing a "tsunami" COVID-19.
Soekarno-Hatta Airport Executive General Manager Agus Haryadi said PT Angkasa Pura II had prepared facilities to support increased supervision of Indonesian citizens or foreigners arriving from abroad, including from India.
"PT Angkasa Pura II coordinates with the Ministry of Health's KKP, immigration, customs and excise, and airlines to ensure that the arrival process of international passengers, including those from India, is always in accordance with established procedures," he said, in Jakarta, Friday, April 23.
The facilities at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, said Agus, are prepared to support the supervision of airplane passengers arriving from abroad.
"Collaboration is also carried out by all stakeholders in order to smooth the quarantine process from the airport to the quarantine location," he said.
Meanwhile, Colonel Pas MA Silaban (TNI AU) Head of the COVID-19 Airborne Task Force said that strict procedures have been put in place for passengers on international routes arriving from other countries, including India. According to him, not all passengers from abroad can enter Indonesia.
Silaban said that those who can enter the territory of Indonesia are those who meet the requirements, including carrying a valid PCR test certificate, having a Limited Stay Permit Card (KITAS) or Permanent Stay Permit Card (KITAP), and immediately quarantining.
"For international flight passengers arriving in Indonesia, supervision is carried out starting from the airport to the quarantine process, so hopefully there will be no worries. Stakeholders at Soekarno-Hatta Airport coordinate to ensure that procedures are carried out strictly," he said.
Head of the Port Health Office of the Ministry of Health (KKP Kemenkes) Class I Soekarno-Hatta Airport, dr. Darmawali Handoko said that the Directorate General of Disease Prevention and Control of the Ministry of Health had issued a letter of instruction to Heads of Port Offices throughout Indonesia regarding Improved Supervision of Arrival of Travel Players from India.
The KKP will coordinate with airlines regarding the schedule of direct arrival of aircraft passengers and transit from India within 14 days. All Indonesian citizens or foreigners who come from India must be in good health.
"Indonesian citizens or foreigners who come from India must bring the results of the RT PCR Swab examination with negative results that are valid 3 x 24 hours upon departure from India. Then quarantine is carried out for 5 x 24 hours, and RT-PCR swabs are carried out on arrival and at the end. quarantine or the 5th day, "said Darmawali.
