The Minister Of Home Affairs Deploys A Team To Check The Implementation Of Budget Efficiency In Regions Randomly
JAKARTA - Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) Tito Karnavian said that his party will soon prepare a team to conduct blusukan to check the implementation of budget efficiency in the regions.
"The Minister of Home Affairs team will move randomly to the regions to see efficiency," said Tito when met at the Jakarta Presidential Palace Complex, Friday, March 7, which was confiscated by Antara.
The Minister of Home Affairs said this was in line with Presidential Instruction number 1 of 2025 concerning the Efficiency of Expenditures in the Implementation of the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget and Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget for Fiscal Year 2025.
In the instruction, Tito said specifically he was mandated by the President to monitor the efficiency of spending carried out by regional leaders at the provincial, district and city levels.
The initial steps that have been taken to carry out this mandate have been carried out by Tito by issuing Circular Letter number 900/833/SJ concerning Revenue Adjustments and Regional Expenditure Efficiency in the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) for Fiscal Year 2025.
This circular asks for budget efficiency carried out by local governments by limiting spending on ceremonial activities, studies, comparative studies, printing, publications, and seminars/focus groups discussions.

In addition, it is also regulated to reduce official travel expenditures by up to 50 percent for all regional apparatus.
The local government is also asked to make adjustments to the 2025 FY APBD expenditures sourced from Transfers to Regions (TKD).
In the SE, regional heads are also asked to identify the efficiency of spending while still paying attention to the urgency, quality of implementation, content of substance, and benefits that are prioritized to support the achievement of eight missions or Astacita and the achievement of seven priority programs, as well as support the economic growth target of eight percent.
"I have issued the letter first regarding what to do. And regional heads may make efficiency and inform the DPRD. That is to give the strength of regional heads so that they can reallocate their budget, efficiency," said the Minister of Home Affairs.
The next step so that monitoring can be carried out properly will be formed a team to directly check the areas on how to implement budget efficiency which is prepared and implemented for 2025.
This team was prepared effectively after the Ministry of Home Affairs finished handling the re-voting (PSU) in 24 regions.
"I'll make a team later. This morning I (have) brought (in) a meeting. Later the PSU meeting will be completed," said Tito.
