KRI Nanggala-402 Still Wanted, Operations Spread In 9 Points

JAKARTA - The search for KRI Nanggala-402 is still being carried out. There are nine search operation points in Bali waters.

"The data we received up to this afternoon are nine points. The nine points include spills and a very strong magnetic force. In addition to the distribution of search points, licensing for ship assistance from abroad has also been completed, including the Poseidon ship from the United States and also HMAS Ballarat and HMAS Sirius from Australia.

Regarding the safety equipment for the KRI Nanggala-402, the former Commander of the KRI Nanggala-402, Lieutenant Colonel (P) Anshori, explained that the safety equipment is complete and complies with international standards imposed by all submarines in the world.

In addition, the former Head of the KRI Nanggala Engine Room, Marine Major (T) Ignatius, said there were two types of escape in the submarine. First, rush escape and tower escape.

"Rush Escape is the exit of the submarine crew when flooding occurs or water outside the hull enters the hull. Meanwhile, Tower Escape is one that is carried out using only MK11 clothes," he said.
