Construction Of Syeikh Nawawi University Banten Worth IDR 159.99 Billion Targeted To Be Completed In April 2025

Deputy Minister of Public Works (PU) Diana Kusumastuti accompanied the Vice President (Wapres) of the Republic of Indonesia Gibran Rakabuming Raka to review the construction of Syeikh Nawawi University Banten (USNB), Thursday, March 6.

During the review, Vice President Gibran wanted to ensure that the construction of the USNB campus went smoothly and in accordance with the target.

Currently, the progress of USNB development has reached 84 percent and is targeted for completion in April.

Deputy Minister Diana advised that the construction completion should continue to pay attention to the quality and neatness of the building.

"Please do it according to the design, pay attention to the quality, aesthetics and the environment. Plants can be added to make it look shady," Diana said as quoted from her written statement, Friday, March 7.

Meanwhile, the Director of Strategic Infrastructure of the Ministry of Public Works, Essy Asiah, explained that the Ministry of Public Works through the Banten Regional Settlement Infrastructure Center (BPPW) of the Directorate General of Human Settlements built three main buildings and two supporting buildings.

The main buildings include the rectorate building, faculty and mosques.

Meanwhile, the supporting buildings are the power house and pump rooms.

"The Rectorate Building can accommodate around 300 lecturers at Syeikh Nawawi University. Meanwhile, the faculty building behind it can accommodate around 3,500 students which is divided into three floors. On each floor, there are facilities in the form of classrooms, laboratories to prayer rooms. For the mosque itself, it can accommodate around 900 to 1,110 worshipers," he explained.

Essy added, Syeikh Nawawi University Banten was built on an area of 10.02 hectares, with a land area of 2.83 hectares.

"The rest, it is necessary to develop in the future. To meet the completion target in April 2025, the Ministry of Public Works has also increased the number of workers, so that the current total number of workers is 180 people," he explained.

The Syeikh Nawawi University in Banten was built starting in June 2024 with a work contract for 300 calendar days.

The construction requires a budget of IDR 159.99 billion and is carried out by the implementing contractor PT Brantas Abipraya (PERero) with construction management of PT Citra DieCA-PT Esa Pratama KSO.
