Raffi Ahmad Funded Club Rp.300 Billion, RANS Cilegon FC Announces 30 Players Who Will Compete In League 2

JAKARTA - After announcing the new chairman and changing the logo at the end of last month, RANS Cilegon FC announced that 30 players contracted to become official players who are ready to compete in Liga 2.

A number of players, both from the top level and players who graduated from the Football School (SBB) from all over Indonesia participated in the open selection which was held from April 3 to April 22, 2021.

"Today is the agenda where we officially introduce the squad of players from RANS Cilegon FC, so there are approximately 30 players. Here there are players who are former captains of the national team, one of the legends, there are also U19s, U23s, here we are. "Unites people of all ages and we combine them here," said RANS Cilegon FC chairman Raffi Ahmad at the JIEXPO Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) press conference, Kemayoran, Jakarta, Friday reported by Antara.

The selection stage is directly supervised by Bambang Nurdiansyah who is the head coach. Around 100 players entered the selection list and came from various regions outside Cilegon, including Palembang, Papua, North Maluku and MaxSar. All potential players are invited with plane tickets and lodging facilities.

Apart from the players, Raffi admitted that he was pushing the training field called RANS Prestige. Not only that, Raffi revealed that he would focus on the football academy to produce young athletes.

"Indeed, our target is to produce the best, if we are indeed good, God willing, we will automatically enter League 1, so please pray for all," said Raffi.

A similar sentiment was conveyed by the President Director of RANS Cilegon FC, Roofi Ardian, who admitted that he did not burden the players and staff to become champions.

According to him, success is measured by team cohesiveness, so it is important to observe the potential of each player, not only playing skills, but also the ability of players to work together to build team cohesiveness.

"Everyone must play well and try their best to uphold sportsmanship," said Roofi.

On that occasion, a host and actor who has a great interest in soccer was also introduced, Darius Sinathrya, as the Chief Operation Officer (COO) of RANS Cilegon FC.

"I function as a bumper in this team, so my job is to bridge what the club needs and what the team needs, and that's certainly not an easy thing," said Darius.

"RANS Cilegon FC is present in Liga 2 not only as a complement, but as its own color, and with its digital power, hopefully it will be continued later, and the players will have a tough task to also translate this digital power into our main strength when we play. "he concluded.
