Fenerbahce Vs Rangers: A Supporter Dies In Istanbul Ahead Of The Match

JAKARTA - A Rangers fans died in Istanbul ahead of the Europa League match against Fenerbahce on Friday, March 7, 2025, early morning WIB.

Rangers announced on the club's website that the unnamed fan died in a traffic accident.

"Rangers were devastated to hear the news of the death of one of our supporters in a traffic accident in Istanbul at night."

"Everyone's own thinking at the club is focused on their family and friends in this very difficult time."

"We continue to be in contact with Turkish and British authorities over this tragic incident," the club said in a statement.

Rangers will face Fenerbahce in the first leg of the Europa League last 16 at the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium.
