Merseyside Derby Incident: FA Accuses Arne Slot Of Cursed Referee
JAKARTA - Arne Slot is accused by the FA of cursing referee Michael Oliver by saying "if we don't win the league, I'll blame you" in the Derby Merseyside match between Everton vs Liverpool which ended 2-2 last month.
The Dutch coach was banned from playing on the sidelines for two games by the English Football Association (FA) and was fined 70,000 after he received a red card during a dramatic scene following Everton's goal at the end of the Derby Merseyside match.
Arne Slot, who approached Oliver after a fight between the two groups of players after the final whistle sounded, had seen Abdoulaye Doucoure (Everton) and Curtis Jones (Liverpool) expelled for a foul that caused a second yellow card.
Shortly after the commotion, the Dutchman, according to the FA, told Oliver that "the referee has given everything to them" and hoped Oliver was "proud of his performance".
In addition, the FA also reported allegations Arne Slot told the referee's assistant that it was a "very embarrassing disgrace".

Hence, Arne Slot was charged with acting "in an inappropriate way and/or using insulting words and/or behavior against match referees and assistant referees".
After the report was released, Arne Slot admitted his actions and confirmed that he had to set a better example.
"What I said was also in the written report. I can say it once again, when it happened I was quite emotional for everything that happened in the last seven or eight minutes, maybe during the whole game."
"I chose to go on the pitch rather than stay calm and stay inside. Now I don't have the same emotions anymore."
"So, I think I should set a better example than I gave it at the time and not experience that situation anymore."
"Obviously what I wrote. I don't think it's any use if I add anything to the news because now I can control my emotions," said Arne Slot.
Liverpool Assistant Sipke Hulshoff - who also received a red card after the match - was banned from accompanying the two-match team and a fine of 7,000 pounds.
Hulshoff allegedly said that the referee was very annoying, very embarrassing, and gave them (Everton) everything.
Both Arne Slot and Hulshoff accepted the allegations and apologized.
Even so, there were wrong words in the report. The Reds architect claims that he actually told Oliver: "If we don't win the league, I have to thank you for that."
Meanwhile, in the report, Arbe Slot also admitted that his actions were unacceptable and he allowed his frustration to control him.
The ban on playing for Arne Slot was originally three games, but reduced to two games, with the FA noting that he was doing more than expected to apologize for his actions.
