Thousands Of Ecstasy And Methamphetamine Points Destroyed

TANJUNG SELOR - Thousands of ecstasy pills and hundreds of grams of methamphetamine were destroyed by the Bulungan Police, North Kalimantan (Kaltara).

The destruction of illegal goods was carried out by blending and dissolving into the water.

Bulungan Police Chief Kombes Rofikoh Yunianto said this case was revealed when 4,750 ecstasy pills were found in the seat of Mio Soul GT motorcycle at Kilometer 6 Poros Bulungan-Berau (Kaltim) on January 17, 2025.

In addition, 31.36 grams of methamphetamine was also found.

"The ecstasy of 4,750 pills belongs to someone who has now been secured by the North Kalimantan Provincial Narcotics National Agency (BNNP) named Viqi Adha (VA)," said the Police Chief, Thursday, March 6.

"The results of the inspection of the ecstasy pill laboratory are genuine, the goods are from Malaysia. The results of the development turned out to be the owner of methamphetamine and ecstasy named Viqi Adha (VA) who had been secured by the BNNP Kaltara," he continued.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Bulungan Police, AKP Derry Eko Setyawan, explained that Viqi explained that on January 13, he and Arul (AR) went to Salimbatu Village, Tanjung Palas Tengah District, picking up goods in the form of methamphetamine and ecstasy.

"Then Arul gave a little crystal methamphetamine to Viqi in exchange for accompanying him to take methamphetamine in Salimbatu and the rest of the other items were stored by Arul," said Derry.

However, the Bulungan Police Narcotics Unit lost track of Arul. After being traced, Arul fled to Sulawesi.

"Arul has entered the DPO, the information has been smuggled goods several times to be brought to Sulawesi," he explained.

Ecstasy is planned to be circulated in South Sulawesi. Meanwhile Bulungan is only a crossing.

"But by securing this ecstasy, we can save 4,750 people and the destroyed drugs can save more than 10,000 people," he said.

From the calculation of the methamphetamine that was secured, namely 183.67 grams worth more than Rp. 300 million.

Meanwhile, ecstasy amounted to 4,750 pills that were secured worth Rp1.2 billion.
