UK Signs Drone Supply Contracts To Ukraine
JAKARTA - The British government has agreed with defense technology companies to allow the Ukrainian armed forces to use more sophisticated attack drones in the Black Sea.
Reported by Reuters on Thursday, March 6, Britain's Ministry of Defense said the contract, which amounts to nearly 30 million pounds ($38.68 million), would result in Anduril UK supplying drones to Ukraine designed to monitor an area before attacking the target that entered it.
Regarding Ukraine's current condition after being abandoned by the United States under the leadership of Donald Trump, British officials held talks with around 20 countries, mostly European countries and Commonwealth countries, interested in joining the coalition to support Ukraine.
Prime Minister Keir Starmer previously announced Britain, France, and several other countries would form a coalition to formulate plans to offer support to Ukraine in the event of a peace agreement to end Russia's war.
The official did not want to mention which countries showed interest in providing support, but said: "This shows the coalition's desire to convene and the desire of a number of countries to play their part," he said.
"This is still an early stage and the situation is still very fluid," he added.
