The Meaning Of The Month Of Ramadan For Dul Jaelani, The Moment Of Sharing Kindness

JAKARTA - The month of Ramadan has always been a special moment for many people. Not only as a time to increase worship, but also as an opportunity to strengthen friendship and share happiness with others. This was also felt by musician Dul Jaelani.

Dul expressed his memories and happiness in undergoing this holy month. The biological sons of Ahmad Dhani and Maia Estianty share stories about how Ramadan has always been a blessed time.

He expressed this at the Dompet Dhuafa X Dul Jaelani collaboration press conference which aims to glorify orphans and raise public awareness of the importance of glorifying orphans.

"The experience of the past, every fasting month is full of blessings, can gather family, gather with friends who bring positive. Share fun and pleasure with orphans," he said, when met in the Jati Padang area, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta on Thursday, March 6, 2025.

For Dul, Ramadan is not only a matter of holding back hunger and thirst, but also a time to strengthen brotherhood. The tradition of breaking the fast together, sharing food, to reminding each other in kindness is something that is always awaited every year.

"Especially while waiting for kolak, fried food. The fasting month, Alhamdulillah, is synonymous with friendship and sharing kindness. I don't know whether God will accept it or not, the important thing is to share goodness," he added.

Dul also revealed that he was not a pious person, but he always admired the people who broadcast kindness.

"I'm not religious, but admirers of people broadcasting goodness. So everyone makes a good campaign, I admire. Alhamdulillah, in my family, taught every time you leave or leave the house, my mother said Bismillah," he explained.

Educated in his family also shaped his views on the importance of doing good. In addition, the uncle always reminds about alms.

"There are young people who are less religiously sensitive. Alhamdulillah, in my family every time I leave, I always say bismillah. My father also always reminds me of kindness," he said.

"Om, I remind you of alms so that you have a long life, luck, and refuse reinforcements. Until finally, I was amazed by people who often shared kindness, rather than flexing," he continued.

For Dul Jaelani, gathering with orphans is not something that is hard to do. In fact, it gives its own calm and happiness.

"I was invited not to think twice and Alhamdulillah, thank you and happy to gather with my brothers here. Hopefully it will bring blessings and luck," he said with gratitude.

According to him, sharing with orphans is not just a social activity, but also a heart call. He remembers Maia Estianty's message, which always instills values of kindness.

"I ordered mother, 'If you can't be a good person, then live accompanied by goodness.' God willing, I see a lot of blessings here. It's not a matter of collaboration, but beyond that. I was invited to get blessings and rewards," he explained.

Dul's decision to continue to share kindness is not something he regrets. Therefore, he accepted the invitation to collaborate with Dompet Dhuafa.

"I was invited to do good, why not? I am happy to gather with the orphans, it makes my heart cool. So I was told to do good, did I refuse?" he said sincerely.

Dul hopes that more and more people will be aware of the importance of friendship and sharing kindness.

"Hopefully there will be more friendship that brings sustenance. Religion is concern, and hopefully the hope can bring blessings to many people and can please that person and spread fun things too." he added.
