Anindya Bakrie Promoted As Chairman Of Indonesian Acutetics 2025-2029
JAKARTA - Anindya Novyan Bakrie has received the support of the majority of provincial administrators (Pengprov) to run as General Chair of Indonesian Aquatics for the 2025-2029 term of service.
Indonesia's aquatic plan is to hold a National Conference (Munas) in Jakarta on March 14-16, 2025. One of the main agendas of this activity is the election of the new general chairman.
Secretary General (Sekjen) of Indonesian Aquatics, Ali Patiwiri, revealed that Anindya had received 21 out of 30 provincial governments as of March 6, 2025.
"Hopefully other provincial administrators will follow so that absolute acclamation is achieved," said Ali Patiwiri in an official statement received by the media.

The provincial governments that have provided support are Aceh, Bangka Belitung, Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY), South Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, East Nusa Tenggara, South Papua, Riau, West Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, North Sumatra, Central Java, Gorontalo, Central Kalimantan, East Java, Southeast Sulawesi, North Sulawesi, South Sumatra, West Java, West Sumatra and Bali.
Receiving that much support automatically makes Anindya run as a single candidate. The reason is, one of the requirements for the general chairman candidate must be supported by at least 10 active provincial leaders.
"If 21 incoming support letters, it is certain that no other candidates will enter. Anindya Bakrie will definitely be elected by acclamation as Chairman of AI 2025-2029," said Head of the Penjaringan Team, Sarman Simanjorang.
If re-elected then Anindya Bakrie for the third time is Indonesian Aquatics.
He is currently still active as general chairman for the second term for the 2021-2025 term of service. Anindya previously rose to the highest position of the federation for the 2016-2020 term of service.
