Anticipating The Repeated Large Floods, Pramono Asks Residents To Be Relocated For Ciliwung Normalization
This is because Pramono does not want a large flood that hit a number of points in Jakarta due to overflowing rivers and water shipments from upstream a few days ago to repeat itself.
"We must be able to make people aware to residents who are in locations where normalization needs to be carried out, that if they stay there, there will definitely be the impact of the flood. The former Cabinet Secretary confirmed that he would continue the process of land acquisition for residential areas along the river for the Ciliwung normalization construction project.
"What is clear is that release will definitely be carried out. Only within an approach for release, we will continue with the previous governments that the approach must be more humane, humane," said Pramono.
Pramono targets land acquisition in the near future to be carried out in the areas of Pengadegan, Ciliwung, and Bidara Cina. This is because the area experienced the worst impact of flooding during the high rainfall intensity in Jabodetabek.
"I have asked the Head of the Water Resources Service to immediately follow up, especially for land acquisition and so on. If we have to coordinate with the Ministry of ATR/BPN, we will immediately do it," said Pramono.
Today, Pramono monitors the current flood situation by air using a helicopter belonging to the Baharkam Polri Water and Air Police Corps (Polairud).
From the air, Pramono checked the condition of the settlements that were previously affected by severe flooding. Also monitored by rivers and waterways that had previously overflowed due to extreme rainfall in Jabodetabek.
"When viewed from above, Jakarta's life has started to return to normal," he said.
Pramono turut memantau kondisi pintu air di Jakarta. Salah satunya, Pintu Air Manggarai dengan tinggi muka air mencapai 600 sentimeter dengan status siaga 4 atau normal. Sebelumnya, saat banjir memuncak, Pintu Air Manggarai mencapai 850 sentimeter atau siaga 2.
