Raisa's Mother Was Sentenced To Lung Cancer Stadium 4, Her Sister Reveals Chronology
JAKARTA - Unpleasant news came from singer Raisa's family, where her mother, Ria Mariaty, was sentenced to stage 4 lung cancer.
Raisa's sister, Rinaldi Nurpratama, said that this started in December 2024 when her mother was declared to have lung cancer.
"This is very sad, especially because he has undergone a thorough cancer examination in May 2024, and no symptoms have appeared at that time," wrote Rinaldi Nurpratama as quoted by VOI from Instagram @rinaldinurpratama, Thursday, March 6.
Then in October 2024, the mother coughed for a month, finally decided to undergo an examination by a specialist in internal and lung diseases.
Initially, the mother was diagnosed with tuberculosis and had to be hospitalized for two weeks. After returning home, her mother still had to struggle with the side effects of TB treatment, such as nausea, vomiting, bloating, and dizziness.
"After returning home, he struggled with the side effects of TB treatment, severe nausea, vomiting, bloating, and dizziness," continued Rinaldi.
After a few days, his mother was hospitalized again, and the doctor decided to scan the PET. The results are only known that his mother has stage 4 lung cancer, which has spread to several bones.
"A few days later, the results confirmed our worst fear, he had stage 4 lung cancer, and the cancer had spread to several bones."
So far, Raisa's mother will undergo six chemotherapys and six rounds of radiation as part of her treatment.
"Because of his weak immune system, the doctor advised him not to accept visitors for now," wrote Rinaldi.
