Photo Becomes Scandal, Kotou Feels Interim Dismissed From Go!Go!Kids Activities

JAKARTA - Japan's entertainment agency, Starto Entertainment announced that it had implemented a temporary suspension of Go!Go!Kids, Kotou Terawa of all its activities.

The decision was taken following the leaking of Terawa photos to the public, which showed 17-year-old idols as if they were smoking.

After conducting an investigation, the agency confirmed that Terawa's actions violated the regulations. Temporary suspension of activities was taken for the purpose of self-reflection.

"After confirming the situation directly with the individuals involved, he acknowledged his inappropriate behavior," reads Starto's statement, citing KBIZoom, Thursday, March 6.

"After some discussions, we decided to drop a temporary suspension of activity to give him time to reflect and reassess himself," he continued.

As a result of the incident, the agency stated that it would strengthen the management system for Junior members, and ensure a more balanced approach between academic and entertainment commitments.

"We sincerely apologize to our fans and all those affected by the problems caused by this incident," the agency said.

For information, Kotou Terawa joined Starto Entertainment in 2019, and officially became a member of Go!Go!Kids in 2022.

After successfully attracting attention as a promising junior member, recent controversy has created uncertainty about the future of Terawa in the entertainment world.
