Repatriation Of Paulus Tannos Called KPK Waits For Prosecution Process In Singapore

"What I have information is that because the existing system in Singapore is different from ours, the person concerned is currently in the prosecution process," said KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto to reporters quoted on Thursday, March 6.

Setyo could not confirm when the prosecution would be completed. This is because the process was only carried out after the Indonesian government completed the files that had to be sent to the Singaporean authorities.

"Yesterday, the deadline (complementing files for 45 days, ed) was March 3 (March, ed), right. But, after that there was a prosecution process, yes, that was because there was a different legal system," he said.

In repatriation through the extradition process, a number of required files include a request letter from the Minister of Law; legalization certificate; identity; resummation to a letter from the Attorney General. All of them have been fulfilled by both the Ministry of Law, the KPK and the Attorney General's Office.
