Budget Efficiency, Dozens Of Cars From The Commissioner's Office And KPU Officials In NTB Withdrawn

A total of 64 official cars used by the district/city General Election Commission (KPU) commissioners and echelon III officials at the NTB Provincial KPU were withdrawn by the central government as a budget efficiency measure.

Member of the NTB Provincial KPU for the Socialization Division, Voter Education, Community and Human Resources Participation, Agus Hilman, said that all district/city KPU commissioner cars have been withdrawn by the center according to Presidential Instruction Number 1 of 2025 concerning budget efficiency.

"Yes, it was withdrawn by the center on February 24, 2025 yesterday," said Agus Hilman in Mataram as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, March 5.

He said all official cars used by all district/city KPU commissioners used a rental system. The car has been returned to the center.

All official cars use standard car rental fees in NTB. Even so, his party has not been able to calculate how much funds have been cut from the withdrawal of the official car.

"We haven't counted it yet. That's why it's rented on a third party. So the calculation is that the rent is much cheaper and more efficient," he explained.

For all official cars belonging to the 5 NTB KPU commissioners, Agus Hilman said there had been no central instructions to withdraw due to the impact of this efficiency.

"If we call it echelon II, so nothing is withdrawn if echelon II," he said.

Menurutnya, kebijakan efisiensi anggaran yang telah diteken oleh Presiden Prabowo Subianto tersebut bakal berdampak kepada pemangkasan biaya bahan bakar dan perjalanan dinas kepada para komisioner KPU.

"Probably, the cost of fuel for travel seems to be cut. But hopefully not," he said.
