Government Prepares 'Nusantara Hub' Free Homecoming Platform To Avoid Buildup
JAKARTA - The government has prepared an integrated platform for free homecoming called the Nusantara Hub to ensure that it avoids buildup in one mode and even distribution of the use of free homecoming transportation by travelers.
"So this year we will launch what the Ministry of Transportation is waiting for to create a free Nusantara Hub integrated homecoming platform," said Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (PMK) Pratikno as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, March 5.
He said the platform would be used to ensure an even distribution of passengers in transportation modes, such as buses, during the Lebaran homecoming period.
Not only that, the platform will also be used as data coordination among transportation mode providers, which can then also be accessed by travelers.
He also ensured that the government had discussed toll tariff discounts, lower domestic flight ticket prices, and other trips. Given the potential movement of people during the Eid al-Fitr holiday period both to their hometowns and tourist sites.
"So we also arrange that later the discount will be arranged, in order to also reduce the accumulation of homecoming flow and backflow on certain dates so as to reduce the hours," he said.
