Already Paid 82 Percent, Remaining Debt Due To Tempo Waskita To Vendor Rp383 Billion
JAKARTA - PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk has paid part of the company's debt to vendors who had been partners. Now, the remaining debt that the company needs to pay to vendors is IDR 383 billion again.
Waskita Karya President Director Muhammad Hanugroho explained that the company's total debt to vendors was IDR 3.78 trillion at the end of 2024.
Of this value, as much as Rp2.1 trillion is a past due debt or debt from project work before 2021 which matured in 2024.
"Rp2.1 trillion is a debt vendor which is indeed a problem we have to solve," he said in a hearing (RDP) with Commission VI of the DPR RI, Jakarta, Wednesday, March 5.
Furthermore, Hanugroho explained that of the total debt of IDR 2.1 trillion, as much as 82 percent
Waskita Karya has paid. Thus, the remaining debt that the company needs to pay to vendors is IDR 383 billion.
"Until 2024 yesterday, we have completed almost 82 percent of the vendor debt. Now the remaining Rp383 billion is now," he explained.
Hanugroho admitted that the company had allocated funds to pay the remaining Rp383 billion in debt. However, the payment is still constrained by documentation problems.
Furthermore, continued Hanugroho, there are still many vendors who have not been able to complete the documentation. Therefore, Waskita Karya has not been able to make payments to these vendors.
"There are a lot of cases in Waskita, so we have to be prudent (be careful), we don't want to spend money without documents or correct data. Sometimes the data is complete but the information is invalid. This is what we have to be careful about," he said.

Even so, Hanugroho emphasized that vendors will be the company's priority in paying debts.
Therefore, the company continues to encourage the settlement of past due debt to vendors.
"We have to be careful here, this is why in the last few months I have pushed for the completion process to vendors," he said.
