Minister Of Manpower Denies Issues Of Badminton Of Indonesia's Terjang Layoffs
JAKARTA - Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Yassierli firmly denied the issue of storms and waves of layoffs that hit Indonesia.
He said, there was indeed news related to several companies that carried out layoffs but not all of them were true.
Yassierli has even sent a team to the field to check the truth of the news.
"For example, Mayora, for example, we have checked, it turns out that the news is not like that. In my opinion, related to the news, there is a term up to 'badai' (PHK) anything, I think we should look at it proportionally," he told the media crew at a press conference in Jakarta, Wednesday, March 5.
He added that there were several companies that were reported to have laid off, but in reality, they actually increased the number of employees.
On the other hand, data appears showing layoffs in Indonesia, but the data used comes from the previous year.
"The year doesn't exist. We saw some of it turns out that the year is from 2021. So in our opinion, the validity of the information circulating in my opinion is that together we will take care of it," he continued.
