Flood-affected Residents In Cililitan Need Ready-to-eat Food Assistance
JAKARTA Despite the floods that hit several RTs in RW 07, Jalan Cililitan Kecil 1, Cililitan Village, Kramat Jati District, East Jakarta have receded, affected residents are still having difficulty cooking and need ready-to-eat food assistance.
The Disaster Preparedness Village (KSB) Task Force, Aji Sarman, revealed that residents really hope that there will be assistance in the form of food that can be consumed directly.
"Residents need ready-to-eat food assistance because in conditions like this it is still difficult to cook. If there is ready-to-eat food, of course it will be more helpful," Aji told reporters, Wednesday, March 5.
Currently, some residents affected by the flood are still taking refuge in two refugee points, namely at the Binawan Campus and ABA Pertiwi, Cawang. The selection of these two locations was carried out because it was considered quite appropriate to accommodate the refugees.
"The evacuation points are at the Binawan Campus and ABA Pertiwi. Assistance from the Social Service is already available through the Disaster Preparedness Village (KSB), and there is also self-help assistance from the community," he explained.

Aji added that the majority of residents affected by the flood came from RW 07, Cililitan Village, Kramat Jati District. Until now, the post-flood evacuation and handling process is still ongoing.
"The majority of the victims affected in RW 07. Today the evacuation process is still continuing from 08.00 WIB until now. We have also established a disaster post in the RW," he added.
The process of evacuating and handling floods involves various parties, including Battalion A Pioneer of the Mobile Brigade Unit of the Metro Jaya Police, Disaster Preparedness Village (KSB), DKI Jakarta BPBD, and local residents.
