Ahead Of Lebaran Homecoming, The Tanjung Pura Toll Road On Brandan Is Free Open Starting March 11
JAKARTA - PT Hutama Karya (Persero) said, the Binjai 'Langsa Section Tanjung Pura' Pangkalan Brandan section along 18.85 kilometers was opened functionally ahead of the 2025 Eid homecoming. This section will be opened starting March 11 for free.
"The company will immediately operate without the Binjai Toll Road 'Langsa Section Tanjung Pura' Pangkalan Brandan starting Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at 07.00 WIB," said Executive Vice President (EVP) Corporate Secretary Hutama Karya Adjib Al Hakim in a written statement, Wednesday, March 5.
Adjib said that this operation was carried out following the issuance of the Decree of the Minister of Public Works (Kepmen PU) regarding the determination of the toll operation on February 25, 2025.
Although the operation of this toll road has not been charged, Adjib appealed to to toll road users to keep tapping electronic money cards (EU) at toll gates. "While ensuring that the EU card is in good condition," he said.
According to Adjib, the operation of this toll road can cut more than 1 hour from Binjai to Pangkalan Brandan.
"The operation of this toll road will later streamline Binjai's travel time to Pangkalan Brandan from 1.5 hours to just 30 minutes which will also make it easier for travelers from Kualanamu Airport Medan to Brandan to Langsa, Aceh," he said.
Previously, this toll section had been tested by operating functionally during the Christmas 2024 and New Year 2025 periods, namely on December 21, 2024-5 January 2025), with operating hours starting at 07.00 WIB to 17.00 WIB.

"During this functional period, 41,627 vehicles with zero fatality have been crossed," said Adjib.
As for supporting operations without tariffs, the quality of roads and toll road support facilities have also met Minimum Service Standards (SPM), which are equipped with two intersections, five regular toll booths and one reversible substation.
In terms of service, Hutama Karya has also alerted 66 personnel and six fleets consisting of one ambulance, one 10-ton crane, one towing crane, one rescue vehicle, one patrol vehicle and one PJR vehicle.
