PKB Concerned People Must Pay IDR 1 Trillion For PSU And Re-Pilkada
In total there are 15 regions that are required to implement PSU and 9 PSU areas in a number of polling stations. In addition, there are two re-cash areas due to the victory of the empty box.
"I appreciate the firmness of the Constitutional Court, but I am very sad because the state has to spend around Rp. 1 trillion to redeem the failure to hold elections in the 24 regions," said Toha, Wednesday, March 5.
Based on the RDPU on Thursday, February 27, the KPU has proposed a budget of IDR 486 billion and Bawaslu IDR 206 billion to resume PSU in 24 regions as a result of the final decision of the Constitutional Court. The funds do not include two re-calibrations due to the victory of empty boxes in Padangsidimpuan City and Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province, which are estimated to be approximately IDR 1 trillion.
Even so, the PKB legislator from the Central Java electoral district admitted that his party supports the Constitutional Court's decision. He considered the decision to be a bold and precise decision.
"I believe that with the trial model that is open to the public, the final decision of the Constitutional Court regarding the 2024 Pilkada PHP is not arbitrary, especially the recent public spotlight is very strong," said Toha.
Toha said the Constitutional Court had become a high state institution authorized to try certain cases, including the 2024 PH Pilkada by practicing the principle of audi et alternative partem.
In the PH Pilkada trial, starting during registration until the final trial of the verdict, all parties are free to complain (fair), the trial is open and open to the public, live tv, and can be accessed by various channels (transparent), and the verdict is proven not indiscriminate (equality before the law).
"The response is wise on the Constitutional Court's decision, it should not be seen to whom the sanctions were imposed, but the case of complaints, evidence of trial, and testimony of witnesses or expert witnesses," explained Toha.
Toha also reminded that the Constitutional Court's decision was final and binding (finals and binding). He appreciates a handful of opinions regarding the basis of the Constitutional Court's decision, for example in the case of validity of the nomination requirements. But what is certain, according to him, the decision has been handed down and all parties must respect it.
"Putusan ini harus menjadi pelajaran terbaik untuk kinerja penyelenggara pemilu agar lebih profesional," katanya.
