Orange Color Identification, HNW Is Not Worried That Ormas Formed By Anies Will Become A PKS Competitor

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the PKS Syuro Council, Hidayat Nur Wahid or HNW said that his party was not worried if later the People's Movement community organization (ormas) inaugurated by Anies Baswedan would become a competitor to PKS. Although, this mass organization also chose an all-o orange uniform like PKS.

"No, yes, all parties must have measured carefully, why choose orange and I'm not sure that this is in order to attract sympathizers from parties who are using similar colors," said HNW at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, March 4.

According to HNW, in principle, PKS cadres already have their own track record. They, he said, already have a value set that will be used as a reference and managed by the party.

"So that color does not make PKS cadres glare or become confused. In the past, we used white, many also wore ordinary white colors," he said.

Furthermore, HNW actually asked Anies Baswedan to prove first how he could successfully manage the community organization (ormas) of the People's Movement.

"Of course it will also be a proof of how successful managing communal activities are in this context of the organization," said HNW.

On the other hand, the Deputy Chairperson of the MPR explained that the formation of mass organizations is part of the rights of every Indonesian citizen (WNI) to associate and gather. No exception, Anies and his sympathizers who are now forming the People's Movement.

"Is it called a mass organization, a mass organization that becomes a party is also okay. That's a natural thing to happen in Indonesia, I think it is very good if all citizens contribute their best for the good of the nation and state in the future through in addition to individual activities, organizational activities," he explained.

It is known that the People's Movement community organization has been officially formed. Its formation was attended by presidential candidates participating in the 2024-2029 Presidential and Vice Presidential Elections Anies Baswedan.

On that occasion, Anies expressed his gratitude to the People's Movement organizations who had invited him at the inauguration declaration. But he said at this time he would focus on social activities.

"I express my appreciation for the invitation, I am grateful that the relationship that has been maintained so far can be realized in a more organized organization," said Anies in Jakarta, Thursday, February 27.

"So that's all first, now we are grateful that friends who used to fight through various volunteer movements are now gathered in the people's movement. Until then, I myself will continue to carry out social activities, educational activities and that's us," he continued.
