VOI Today: Thousands Of Families And Hundreds Of Houses Affected By The Bekasi Flood, Access Roads Cut Off

JAKARTA - The Bekasi area, West Java was paralyzed by floods as high as 3 meters. Based on the BNPB report, the flood submerged 7 sub-districts in Bekasi City. Jatiasih District is the worst affected sub-district by the flood. Meanwhile, in Bekasi Regency, at least 15 houses were affected by flooding with a water level of 150 cm.

BNPB is still recording the number of affected residents. It is estimated that more than 10 thousand families were affected. In addition to submerging residential areas, the flood also submerged public facilities and infrastructure, such as hospitals, shopping centers, stadiums and government offices.
