East Jakarta Police Chief Review Flood Locations, Ensure The Security Of Affected Residents
East Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly, directly inspected the location of the flood on Jalan Tanjung Sanyang, RW 08, Cawang Village, Kramat Jati District, East Jakarta, Tuesday, March 4.
The floods that hit the area were caused by water shipments from the Bogor area that suddenly arrived, resulting in about 500 families (KK) being affected.
"This flood incident took place very quickly. We are here not only to monitor, but also to help with the evacuation process, especially for children and the elderly who are trapped," said Kombes Nicolas at the flood site.
He also said that there are still many residents who are isolated and stay at their homes in order to protect their property.

As an emergency response measure, the East Jakarta Metro Police has deployed 150 personnel to assist flood management. In addition, a health post has been established on Jalan Tanjung Sanyang to ensure medical services are available for affected residents.
"We ensure that health services can be immediately provided to prevent the adverse effects on the health of residents," he said.
The police chief also appealed to the public to be more aware of the potential for further flooding, considering that the rainfall in the Bogor area and its surroundings is still high.
"We continue to monitor the situation and provide early warnings to residents so that they can secure valuables and anticipate the potential increase in water," he concluded.
