Maintain The Characteristics Of The 'Y2K' Style, New Balance 1000 Comeback With The Latest Colorway

JAKARTA New Balance officially launched two new colorways for the 1000 model, namely the Navy and White/Mustard for adults, as well as the Navy and White for children. This latest collection is available exclusively at Foot Locker outlets throughout Indonesia.

New Balance and Foot Locker continue to strengthen their influence in shaping the culture of the sneaker community and young people. This launch colorway is set in a colorful Miami city, featuring the hallmark of the New Balance 1000 style inspired by the futuristic design of the millennial transition era or familiarly called the era Y2K.

This 1000 series itself has been present since 1999, and continues to innovate with new designs and colors from time to time. With a sleek silhouette, a striking overlay panel, a unique arched and arched sole, as well as a nylon eyelet, this sneaker offers a different look from conventional sneaker models. Even so, the design remains relevant to the current trend.

In order to introduce this latest collection, New Balance held a cycling activity titled The Sole Ride Powered by 1000 with the bicycle community The Genjot, Bicycle Centil, and Sor.Ride last Sunday (23/02). A total of 40 participants experienced the performance of NB 1000 when used to cycle together with the Senayan City route to the Panglima Polim area.

Andi Indrawan, from The Genjot community, shared his experience after cycling. "This latest NB 1000 colorway has light and sturdy material, so that riding is further and faster. Outsoles have strong grips, rides are more stable on slippery roads. Plus soft cushioning, make it comfortable to wear all day. Moreover, combinations of retro-modern designs and cool colors, make these shoes can be used for sports, walking, or directly used for work," said Andi Indrawan.

In addition to accommodating active lifestyle, these shoes are also trying to break the boundaries of expression by proving their flexibility to merge into various types of passions. Three local creators, Tamara Dai, Inayma, and Helen Shark, show how these shoes can match their respective passions.

Tamara Dai's content creator prioritizes flexible shoes and supports her bold style character. Then Inayma, as a tech reviewer and gamer, chose to combine NB 1000 with playful and versatile styles, inspired by anime and K-pop. Meanwhile, Helen Shark, the Indonesian's Next Top Model Cycle 2 dropout, shows NB 1000 flexibility which is suitable for casual to more elevated displays.

The distinctive features of the Y2K style that are closely related to hip-hop culture are shown in the launch of this collection in the global and local realm. In the global realm, New Balance collaborates with rappers who won the GRAMMY, Eladio Carri total, as well as Nigerian-English musician Darkoo. Carri knowledge, known for his athletic style and distinctive personality, makes New Balance part of his signature look both on stage and in his daily life. Meanwhile, Darkoo, one of the most interesting musicians in England today, stole the world's attention with its distinctive Afrobeat music that combines various genres and fashion.

In Indonesia, New Balance collaborates with Semmy Blank, professional dancer and founder of SBDS Indonesia dance school.
